Instructions and Greetings
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also.1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.1 Now, concerning the money to be collected for God's people [in Jerusalem]: I want you to do as I directed the churches in Galatia.1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I commanded the assemblies of Galatia, you do likewise.1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the assemblies of Galatia, so do ye do also.
On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.2 Every Sunday each of you should set aside some of your money and save it. Then money won't have to be collected when I come.2 On the first day of the week, let each one of you save, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come.2 On the first of the week let each of you put by at home, laying up in whatever degree he may have prospered, that there may be no collections when I come.
When I arrive, whomever you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem;3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.3 When I come, I will give letters of introduction to the people whom you choose. You can send your gift to Jerusalem with them.3 When I arrive, I will send whoever you approve with letters to carry your gracious gift to Jerusalem.3 And when I am arrived, whomsoever ye shall approve, these I will send with letters to carry your bounty to Jerusalem:
and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me.4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.4 If I think it's worthwhile for me to go, they can go with me.4 If it is appropriate for me to go also, they will go with me.4 and if it be suitable that I also should go, they shall go with me.
But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia, for I am going through Macedonia;5 Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.5 After I go through the province of Macedonia, I'll visit you. (I will be going through Macedonia.)5 But I will come to you when I have passed through Macedonia, for I am passing through Macedonia.5 But I will come to you when I shall have gone through Macedonia; for I do go through Macedonia.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.6 I'll probably stay with you. I might even spend the winter. Then you can give me your support as I travel, wherever I decide to go.6 But with you it may be that I will stay, or even winter, that you may send me on my journey wherever I go.6 But perhaps I will stay with you, or even winter with you, that ye may set me forward wheresoever I may go.
For I do not wish to see you now just in passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits.7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.7 Right now all I could do is visit you briefly, but if the Lord lets me, I hope to spend some time with you.7 For I do not wish to see you now in passing, but I hope to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits.7 For I will not see you now in passing, for I hope to remain a certain time with you, if the Lord permit.
But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost;8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.8 I will be staying here in Ephesus until Pentecost.8 But I will stay at Ephesus until Pentecost,8 But I remain in Ephesus until Pentecost.
for a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.9 I have a great opportunity to do effective work here, although there are many people who oppose me.9 for a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.9 For a great door is opened to me and an effectual one, and the adversaries many.
Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without cause to be afraid, for he is doing the Lord's work, as I also am.10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he doesn't have anything to be afraid of while he is with you. He's doing the Lord's work as I am,10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without fear, for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do.10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear; for he works the work of the Lord, even as I.

So let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.11 so no one should treat him with contempt. Without quarreling, give him your support for his trip so that he may come to me. I'm expecting him to arrive with the other Christians.11 Therefore let no one despise him. But set him forward on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brothers.11 Let not therefore any one despise him; but set him forward in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.
But concerning Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to come now, but he will come when he has opportunity.12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.12 Concerning Apollos, our brother in the Christian faith: I tried hard to get him to visit you with the other Christians. He didn't want to at this time. However, he will visit you when he has an opportunity.12 Now concerning Apollos, the brother, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brothers; and it was not at all his desire to come now; but he will come when he has an opportunity.12 Now concerning the brother Apollos, I begged him much that he would go to you with the brethren; but it was not at all his will to go now; but he will come when he shall have good opportunity.
Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.13 Be alert. Be firm in the Christian faith. Be courageous and strong.13 Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!13 Be vigilant; stand fast in the faith; quit yourselves like men; be strong.
Let all that you do be done in love.14 Let all your things be done with charity.14 Do everything with love.14 Let all that you do be done in love.14 Let all things ye do be done in love.
Now I urge you, brethren (you know the household of Stephanas, that they were the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves for ministry to the saints),15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)15 You know that the family of Stephanas was the first family to be won [for Christ] in Greece. This family has devoted itself to serving God's people. So I encourage you, brothers and sisters,15 Now I beg you, brothers (you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to serve the saints),15 But I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruits of Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the saints for service,)
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
that you also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.16 to follow the example of people like these and anyone else who shares their labor and hard work.16 that you also be in subjection to such, and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.16 that ye should also be subject to such, and to every one joined in the work and labouring.
I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.17 I am glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus came here. They have made up for your absence.17 I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus; for that which was lacking on your part, they supplied.17 But I rejoice in the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus; because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.18 For they have refreshed my spirit and your's: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.18 They have comforted me, and they have comforted you. Therefore, show people like these your appreciation.18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge those who are like that.18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: own therefore such.
The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.19 The churches in the province of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca and the church that meets in their house send their warmest Christian greetings.19 The assemblies of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you much in the Lord, together with the assembly that is in their house.19 The assemblies of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla, with the assembly in their house, salute you much in the Lord.
All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.20 All the brothers and sisters [here] greet you. Greet each other with a holy kiss.20 All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.20 All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
