The Excellence of Love
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.1 I may speak in the languages of humans and of angels. But if I don't have love, I am a loud gong or a clashing cymbal.1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.2 I may have the gift to speak what God has revealed, and I may understand all mysteries and have all knowledge. I may even have enough faith to move mountains. But if I don't have love, I am nothing.2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing.2 And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.3 I may even give away all that I have and give up my body to be burned. But if I don't have love, none of these things will help me. 3 If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing.3 And if I shall dole out all my goods in food, and if I deliver up my body that I may be burned, but have not love, I profit nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,4 Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn't jealous. It doesn't sing its own praises. It isn't arrogant.4 Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud,4 Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous of others; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up,
does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;5 It isn't rude. It doesn't think about itself. It isn't irritable. It doesn't keep track of wrongs.5 doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;5 does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;6 It isn't happy when injustice is done, but it is happy with the truth.6 doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;6 does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.7 Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up.7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.8 Love never comes to an end. There is the gift of speaking what God has revealed, but it will no longer be used. There is the gift of speaking in other languages, but it will stop by itself. There is the gift of knowledge, but it will no longer be used.8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with.8 Love never fails; but whether prophecies, they shall be done away; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall be done away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part;9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.9 Our knowledge is incomplete and our ability to speak what God has revealed is incomplete.9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part:
but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.10 But when what is complete comes, then what is incomplete will no longer be used.10 but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with.10 but when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part shall be done away.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I no longer used childish ways.11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things.11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I reasoned as a child; when I became a man, I had done with what belonged to the child.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.12 Now we see a blurred image in a mirror. Then we will see very clearly. Now my knowledge is incomplete. Then I will have complete knowledge as God has complete knowledge of me.12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known.12 For we see now through a dim window obscurely, but then face to face; now I know partially, but then I shall know according as I also have been known.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.13 So these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the best one of these is love.13 But now faith, hope, and love remain--these three. The greatest of these is love.13 And now abide faith, hope, love; these three things; and the greater of these is love.
