| 1 The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth, | 1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; | 1 From the church leader. To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love because we share the truth. I'm not the only one who loves you. | 6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it. | 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.
