Instructions to Those Who Minister
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against.1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.1 All slaves who believe must give complete respect to their own masters. In this way no one will speak evil of God's name and what we teach.1 Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.1 Let as many bondmen as are under yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and the teaching be not blasphemed.
 Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles.2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.2 Slaves whose masters also believe should respect their masters even though their masters are also believers. As a result, believers who are slaves should serve their masters even better because those who receive the benefit of their work are believers whom they love. Teach and encourage people to do these things.2 Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren; but let them the rather serve them with subjection, because they are faithful and beloved, who profit by the good and ready service rendered. These things teach and exhort.
 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;3 Whoever teaches false doctrine and doesn't agree with the accurate words of our Lord Jesus Christ and godly teachings3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn't consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,3 If any one teach differently, and do not accede to sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the teaching which is according to piety,
 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,4 is a conceited person. He shows that he doesn't understand anything. Rather, he has an unhealthy desire to argue and quarrel about words. This produces jealousy, rivalry, cursing, suspicion,4 he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,4 he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and disputes of words, out of which arise envy, strife, injurious words, evil suspicions,
 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.5 and conflict between people whose corrupt minds have been robbed of the truth. They think that a godly life is a way to make a profit.5 constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.5 constant quarrellings of men corrupted in mind and destitute of the truth, holding gain to be the end of piety.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.6 A godly life brings huge profits to people who are content with what they have.6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.6 But piety with contentment is great gain.
 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.7 We didn't bring anything into the world, and we can't take anything out of it.7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out.7 For we have brought nothing into the world: it is manifest that neither can we carry anything out.
 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.8 As long as we have food and clothes, we should be satisfied.8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.8 But having sustenance and covering, we will be content with these.
 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.9 But people who want to get rich keep falling into temptation. They are trapped by many stupid and harmful desires which drown them in destruction and ruin.9 But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many unwise and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and ruin.
 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.10 Certainly, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people who have set their hearts on getting rich have wandered away from the Christian faith and have caused themselves a lot of grief.10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.10 For the love of money is the root of every evil; which some having aspired after, have wandered from the faith, and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.11 But you, man of God, must avoid these things. Pursue what God approves of: a godly life, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.11 But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness of spirit.
 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.12 Fight the good fight for the Christian faith. Take hold of everlasting life to which you were called and about which you made a good testimony in front of many witnesses.12 Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.12 Strive earnestly in the good conflict of faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast confessed the good confession before many witnesses.
 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate,13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and in the sight of Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony in front of Pontius Pilate,13 I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,13 I enjoin thee before God who preserves all things in life, and Christ Jesus who witnessed before Pontius Pilate the good confession,
 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:14 I insist that, until our Lord Jesus Christ appears, you obey this command completely. Then you cannot be blamed for doing anything wrong.14 that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;14 that thou keep the commandment spotless, irreproachable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
 which He will bring about at the proper time-- He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;15 At the right time God will make this known. God is the blessed and only ruler. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.15 which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;15 which in its own time the blessed and only Ruler shall shew, the King of those that reign, and Lord of those that exercise lordship;
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.16 He is the only one who cannot die. He lives in light that no one can come near. No one has seen him, nor can they see him. Honor and power belong to him forever! Amen.16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.16 who only has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor is able to see; to whom be honour and eternal might. Amen.
 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;17 Tell those who have the riches of this world not to be arrogant and not to place their confidence in anything as uncertain as riches. Instead, they should place their confidence in God who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.17 Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;17 Enjoin on those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust on the uncertainty of riches; but in the God who affords us all things richly for our enjoyment;
 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;18 Tell them to do good, to do a lot of good things, to be generous, and to share.18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;18 to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in distributing, disposed to communicate of their substance,
 storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.19 By doing this they store up a treasure for themselves which is a good foundation for the future. In this way they take hold of what life really is.19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.19 laying by for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of what is really life.
 O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called "knowledge "--20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:20 Timothy, guard the Good News which has been entrusted to you. Turn away from pointless discussions and the claims of false knowledge that people use to oppose [the Christian faith].20 Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;20 O Timotheus, keep the entrusted deposit, avoiding profane, vain babblings, and oppositions of false-named knowledge,

 which some have professed and thus gone astray from the faith. Grace be with you.21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.21 Although some claim to have knowledge, they have abandoned the faith. God's good will be with all of you. 21 which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.21 of which some having made profession, have missed the faith. Grace be with thee.
