The Day of the Lord
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.1 Brothers and sisters, you don't need anyone to write to you about times and dates.1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to,
 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.2 You know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.2 for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief by night.
 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.3 When people say, "Everything is safe and sound!" destruction will suddenly strike them. It will be as sudden as labor pains come to a pregnant woman. They won't be able to escape.3 For when they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape.3 When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief;4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.4 But, brothers and sisters, you don't live in the dark. That day won't take you by surprise as a thief would.4 But you, brothers, aren't in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief:
 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.5 You belong to the day and the light not to the night and the dark.5 You are all children of light, and children of the day. We don't belong to the night, nor to darkness,5 for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.6 Therefore, we must not fall asleep like other people, but we must stay awake and be sober.6 so then let's not sleep, as the rest do, but let's watch and be sober.6 So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober;
 For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night.7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.7 People who sleep, sleep at night; people who get drunk, get drunk at night.7 For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.7 for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night;
 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.8 Since we belong to the day, we must be sober. We must put on faith and love as a breastplate and the hope of salvation as a helmet.8 But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation.8 but we being of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet the hope of salvation;
 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,9 It was not God's intention that we experience his anger but that we obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.9 For God didn't appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,9 because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake in this life or asleep in death, we will live together with him.10 who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.10 who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with him.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.11 Therefore, encourage each other and strengthen one another as you are doing.11 Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.11 Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.

 But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;12 Brothers and sisters, we ask you to show your appreciation for those leaders who work among you and instruct you.12 But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you,12 But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in the Lord, and admonish you,
 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.13 We ask you to love them and think very highly of them because of the work they are doing. Live in peace with each other.13 and to respect and honor them in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.13 and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.14 We encourage you, brothers and sisters, to instruct those who are not living right, cheer up those who are discouraged, help the weak, and be patient with everyone.14 We exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient toward all.14 But we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, be patient towards all.
 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.15 Make sure that no one ever pays back one wrong with another wrong. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and everyone else.15 See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good, for one another, and for all.15 See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;

 Rejoice always;16 Rejoice evermore.16 Always be joyful.16 Rejoice always.16 rejoice always;
 pray without ceasing;17 Pray without ceasing.17 Never stop praying.17 Pray without ceasing.17 pray unceasingly;
 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.18 Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God's will in Christ Jesus that you do this.18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.18 in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus towards you;
 Do not quench the Spirit;19 Quench not the Spirit.19 Don't put out the Spirit's fire.19 Don't quench the Spirit.19 quench not the Spirit;
 do not despise prophetic utterances.20 Despise not prophesyings.20 Don't despise what God has revealed.20 Don't despise prophesies.20 do not lightly esteem prophecies;
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.21 Instead, test everything. Hold on to what is good.21 Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.21 but prove all things, hold fast the right;
 abstain from every form of evil.22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.22 Keep away from every kind of evil.22 Abstain from every form of evil.22 hold aloof from every form of wickedness.
 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.23 May the God who gives peace make you holy in every way. May he keep your whole being-spirit, soul, and body-blameless when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.23 Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.24 He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.24 He is faithful who calls you, who will also perform it.
 Brethren, pray for us.25 Brethren, pray for us.25 Brothers and sisters, pray for us.25 Brothers, pray for us.25 Brethren, pray for us.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
